Why TBIE is valuable to you? TBIE is beneficial for students from all over North America because it is a unique and innovative way for them, as developing entrepreneurs, to test the viability of their business ideas. This project also provides hands-on planning experience for the TBIE 2010 Organizing Committee, helping them realize their skills as well as the opportunity to give back to the student body. I am privileged to be a part of both SIFE TRU and TBIE 2010 and am gaining valuable work experience through the projects that we run together.

Why TBIE is valuable to you? TBIE is a cutting edge online competition that provides students with a chance to gain real world knowledge and hands on experience. It allows me to use the skills that I have learned and gained to help the TBIE team host an online competition. Being a student in Computing Science I feel this program is the best fit, as I am very technology prone. TBIE gives me encouragement and makes me feel good being part of an environment friendly online competition.

Why TBIE is valuable to you? The Tony Brower Innovation Exposition is important to me because it provides a unique platform for young entrepreneurial minds to conceive, present, grow, and potentially be rewarded for their business plans and ideas. In addition, I believe the competition provides young innovators with the occasion to begin a business, thereby making a substantial impact in their communities. Furthermore, I believe that the competition provides a tremendous opportunity for the SIFE TRU students to expand the reputation not only of SIFE TRU, but the university as a whole, by reason of the competition’s innovative platform and its potential to expand.

Why TBIE is valuable to you? TBIE is a valuable competition in many respects. For me personally, I am really happy about the fact that I’m able to network, meeting people not only within my school, but also within the business world. It’s also a great opportunity for undergraduate students to get their business ideas out there, and help develop their presentation skills. With the right tools, and the desire to be successful, I hope that I, as well as the rest of my teammates, can make this competition bigger, better, and more renowned in years to come.

Why TBIE is valuable to you? The reason TBIE is valuable to me is the challenge of getting a new project going that was just an idea at the beginning of the semester. In a sense we are starting a company if you’re a business student, the project has all the sectors that a business would need to operate. TBIE is also really promoting “green” business practices by doing this project all online essentially, as well as the elimination of travel costs and that’s a great aspect that I like. Last but not least I have made a lot of friends in the process and we have lots of fun doing this project.

Why TBIE is valuable to you? Working on the TBIE project means working side by side with highly motivated people, full of energy and ideas who contribute their time, efforts and soul to this project. And that is really inspiring! It is a wonderful chance to increase my network experience working in a team on a project development. Besides it is an opportunity to see how knowledge we get in class can be applied to a real project. And of course, participating in this, I can meet people from different business areas, entrepreneurs, business students from other schools that will be very helpful in my future career.
