As the issue of environmental pollution leading to climate change is an increasing concern in both the business world as well as in the public eye, the Tony Brower Innovation Exposition is dedicated to maintaining an environmentally conscious standpoint. All those involved in TBIE have made it among their top priorities to make sure that the competition has as little effect as possible on the environment. Those involved with TBIE lead fully green lives, and at meetings use methods of communication that support sustainability.

Some green methods used by the organizing committee include: holding online video conferences; relying mainly on, emails, and shared online documents for contacting others; and recycling the small amount of paper and other materials used. Holding online video conferences eliminates the need for members to use to vehicles to get to meetings, reducing carbon dioxide emissions greatly, as well as completely eliminating the use of paper or other writing material for meetings. In fact, TBIE for the most part remains wholly paper free, thanks to the use of recordable discs, emails, and other online communication services for planning and promotions.
